30 June 2013 - UniCredit & Universities has launched the first edition of the UniCredit Stage-Abroad Exchange Programme. The competition offers 22 grants to undergraduate students to spend a 3-month internship at UniCredit abroad in any of the following countries: Austria, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia and Ukraine.

To be eligible for the competition, applicants must be citizen of any country in which UniCredit operates and be an undergraduate student enrolled in the final years of higher education institutions in the fields of economics, finance, banking, management engineering, law and economics. Only those students whose course includes an intra-curricular internship can enter the competition. The candidate must also submit declaration from their university authorizing the internship.

There is no obligation in any way on the part of UniCredit to recruit the interns. The internship must take place in the summer period between June and September 2014. In the application, candidates should chose a maximum of three countries where they would like to spend the internship. The winners will be selected by the Scientific Committee according to merit and taking into account (if possible) the country-preference of the candidate. The Committee reserves the right to assign a different location to those specified by the candidate. If the winner does not accept the assigned location, s/he will lose the right to the prize.

Each winner will receive a monthly stipend of €700 (gross) for the entire duration of the internship abroad. In addition, an economy return flight ticket will be fully paid by the Foundation plus all visa and compulsory insurance costs (if any).

Candidates must apply using the application procedure. Applications must be submitted by 15 November 2013. The twenty-two winners will be announced by 15 March 2014.
