Support for studies - STAGE-ABROAD GRANTS
Welcome to UniCredit & Universities!
18 November 2013 - Applications have now closed for the first UniCredit Stage-Abroad Exchange Programme. The competition offered 22 grants to undergraduate students for a 3-month internship abroad at UniCredit in any of the following countries: Austria, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia or Ukraine.
To have been eligible for the competition, applicants must have been citizen of a country in which UniCredit operates and an undergraduate student enrolled in their final years at a higher education institution in the fields of economics, finance, banking, management engineering, or law and economics. Only those students whose course included an intra-curricular internship could enter the competition. The candidate must also have submitted a declaration from their university authorizing the internship.
There was no obligation in any way on the part of UniCredit to recruit the interns. The internships will take place in the summer between June and September 2014. In their applications, candidates should have chosen a maximum of three countries where they would like to spend their internship. The winners will be selected by the Scientific Committee on the basis of merit and taking into account (if possible) the preference of the candidates with regard to the country in which their internship takes place. The Committee reserves the right to assign a different location from those specified by the candidate. If the winner does not accept the assigned location, they will lose the right to the prize.
Each winner will receive a monthly stipend of €700 (gross) for the duration of the internship abroad. In addition, an economy return flight will be fully paid by the Foundation plus all visa and compulsory insurance costs (if any).
The twenty-two winners will be announced by 15 March 2014.
